Village in the lower Zillertal with a golf course and Finsingbach waterfall
Uderns lies in the lower part of the Zillertal between Fügen and Ried, on an alluvial fan of the Finsingbach stream. The valley floor is at about 500 metres; to the west the terrain rises through forest to over 1,600 metres. The municipality has around 1,800 residents and also includes Finsing, Kleinboden and the Kupfnerberg settlement.
Worth seeing is the parish church of St. Briccius, which dates back to the 14th century. Walkers head for the multi-tiered Finsingbach waterfall. Golfers will find an 18-hole course of about 65 hectares with a golf school. The Zillertalbahn also links the village to the rest of the valley.
Uderns is not a big tourist resort but a quiet village for active guests: walkers, mountain bikers and golfers. From Niederau it is the nearest of the Zillertal villages, so it also works as a short stop or as the start of a day in the valley, for example combined with Fügen or Ried. Allow plenty of time for the drive through the valley, as traffic in the Zillertal can be busy in high season and at weekends; an early start is best.

From Niederau
About 35 minutes by car from Niederau: via Wörgl and the A12 to Jenbach, then into the Zillertal towards Fügen.
