Mountain huts and ski huts around Ski Juwel
From the Rübezahl-Hütte to the Hornalm: the huts of the Wildschönau and Alpbachtal, each with its own page.
The Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau ski area has dozens of huts, alms and bars along its slopes. Some stand right at a top station, others are a walk further on, and a few are really village restaurants that the official map lists as well. These pages cover the huts we can back up, each with its own page on location, atmosphere and practical tips.
The official interactive Ski Juwel map shows the huts per region; you can find it via the piste map page. What a hut serves exactly changes by year and by owner, so ask on site or at the hut itself about the current offer.
We only describe what we have been able to check with reliable sources. Huts we are not sure enough about are left out for now.
Tips
- Combine a hut stop with a quiet slope or walk.
- Bring cash and a bank card in case payment options differ from hut to hut.
- Ask about children's dishes and about a seat on the terrace in fine weather.
Huts at the top station and along the slopes
Anyone skiing with children or beginners often picks a hut right at a lift or beside a wide slope. Around the Markbachjoch and on the Schatzberg several huts sit close to the top stations. In the Alpbachtal you find self-service huts and terraces at the Wiedersbergerhornbahn and the Reitherkogelbahn.
