The Schatzbergalm is a mountain inn at roughly 1,800 metres, right beside the top station of the Schatzbergbahn above Auffach. According to its own information the Klingler family has run it for more than 45 years, serving Tyrolean dishes. It also has guest rooms and a sunny terrace.
Its position makes it a natural starting point: in winter the piste runs past the house, and in summer walking and mountain-bike routes begin here. Being right by the lift is especially handy for families with small children, since there is no extra walk. If you want to go further, you can continue to the Gipföhit or the summit.
