The Berggasthof Hornboden stands at about 1,827 m directly below the top station of the Wiedersbergerhornbahn in Alpbach. According to the official page, the gondola ride up takes around a quarter of an hour. The house is on the piste, with a self-service area on the ground floor, a waiter-service restaurant upstairs and a sun terrace.
The Ski Juwel page promotes a breakfast on the mountain, and a German hut review mentions a Prosecco breakfast after the first run and a cosy atmosphere. The house is run by the Larch family and can host events for up to around five hundred people. On the first floor there is a restaurant with a terrace.
