Village walk in Westendorf

A Brixental SkiWelt village with church and shops

Westendorf is a village in the Brixental that belongs to the SkiWelt ski area. It sits on a sunny plateau and is characterised by farmhouses and well-kept mountain meadows. In summer it is quiet and friendly.

A walk around the village fits neatly into an hour and combines well with a visit to the local Sennerei, the dairy with its shop. From Westendorf the Alpenrosenbahn takes you up to the Talkaser at about 1,770 m, home to the Alpinolino nature adventure park: short themed trails such as the Himmelsteig, the Holzwurmweg and the Adlerhorst, with animal riddles and playful stops for children. On the Choralpe you will also find the Spoggolino, Tyrol's longest ball run. The lift runs in summer from roughly late May to late October.
