Tyrolean Farmhouse Museum, Kramsach

Open-air museum with original farmhouses from across Tyrol

The Museum Tiroler Bauernhöfe in Kramsach is Tyrol's largest open-air museum and was founded in 1974. On site stand 14 original farmhouses and 23 outbuildings from all Tyrolean valleys, moved and rebuilt here. Between the buildings are a mill, a smithy and a threshing barn, among others.

Children can see ducks, chickens and geese and find out how people used to live and work. Over the years the museum has become more interactive with video stations and audio points. The grounds are near the Reintaler See, where you can walk after your visit. Allow about two to three hours.
