Summer concerts in Schwaz

Serenades in the cloister and organ concerts in the town parish church

In July and August Schwaz regularly hosts summer concerts. The serenades are held in the arcade passage or, in good weather, in the courtyard of the Franciscan monastery, a tradition going back to 1948. There are also weekly organ concerts in the town parish church, which has the largest symphonic organ in Tyrol.

Schwaz was a wealthy mining town for centuries, and it still shows. A concert evening fits well into a day in town, for example with a walk through the compact centre beforehand. Dates and times change from year to year, so check the current programme.
