The Thiersee lies in the Kufsteinerland and is considered one of the cleanest lakes in Tyrol, with an average summer water temperature of around 22 °C. The lake covers about 25 hectares and is up to roughly 12 metres deep.
On the shore there is a lido with a sunbathing lawn, a diving tower, an aqua jump and a beach volleyball court. Rowing boats, pedal boats and dolphin-shaped boats can be rented. It is quieter than the larger lakes nearby, which makes it a good choice for families who want a relaxed day by the water. Walking paths run around the lake.
