Lake Pillersee lies near St. Ulrich am Pillersee in the Kitzbühel Alps at about 835 m. It is a natural bathing lake; in summer the water gets no warmer than about 18 degrees, so it is refreshing rather than warm. The beach bath on the north-east shore is freely accessible and has a sunbathing lawn, a kiosk and a playground.

On and around the lake you can hire SUP boards and boats, and there are a climbing park, mini golf and walking paths. It is a quiet alternative to busier lakes and works well for a day with children.
