The Pillersee lies in the Kitzbühel Alps near St. Ulrich am Pillersee. On the north-east shore there is a freely accessible lido, and boats and SUP boards can be rented by the water.

The Pillerseerunde runs around the lake: an easy walk of about 4.4 km that takes a little over an hour and is pushchair-friendly. There are many benches along the way, and at the Seestüberl you can go stand-up paddling or pedalling. There is also a 3D archery course by the lake. It makes a relaxed family outing combining swimming, walking and a stop on a terrace.
