Heated outdoor pool in the woods near Kössen

In Kössen, in the Kaiserwinkl near the German border, you will find the Erlebnis-Waldschwimmbad: a heated outdoor pool with about 700 sq m of water surface, at roughly 24 degrees, set among trees. It is a good alternative if you prefer a pool to a lake.

The pool has two slides, a baby and children's pool, a whirlpool, a snack bar and a large sunbathing lawn, plus a beach volleyball court and table tennis. Parking is free. The season runs roughly from mid-May to mid-September; check opening times and prices before you go. You can combine the visit with a walk or bike ride through the Kaiserwinkl.
