Thiersee Lake Beach
A quiet mountain lake with a bathing beach in the Kufsteinerland
The Thiersee is a mountain lake of roughly 25 hectares and up to about 12 metres deep, close to the Bavarian border, in the quiet Thierseetal valley. The lido lies on the north shore, with a sunbathing lawn and a restaurant close by.
At the water you find a diving tower, an Aqua Jump, a water slide and a beach volleyball court; for smaller children there is a large playground. Rowing boats, dolphin boats and pedalos can be hired for a fee, so you can also make a trip around the lake. The lido is open during the day in the summer months. It suits families who prefer swimming in a manageable lake to a large pool. Bring towels and sun cream; it is easy to spend half a day or a full day here.
