Panorama hike by the Wilder Kaiser

Mountain hike with views of the Wilder Kaiser rock faces

The Wilder Kaiser is a limestone range with steep rock faces on the northern edge of Tyrol. From Ellmau the Hartkaiserbahn (a 10-person gondola) takes you up to a plateau with circular walks and paths towards Scheffau, with views of the Kaiser massif. From Söll, too, a lift leads to walking routes at the Hohe Salve.

On the plateau you will find easy loops as well as longer mountain tours, so the choice depends on your fitness. The views are at their best in clear weather; choose your day carefully. At the top station, children can enjoy the play world Ellmi's Zauberwelt.
