Family trail with play stops from Niederau to Oberau
The Wirbelwindweg is a themed family walk above Niederau and Oberau, mostly through shady forest. The route is about 4.5 km long, takes around 2 hours and is easy, with roughly 200 metres of climbing. Along the way there are six nature play stops where children get play ideas, via QR codes, between forest edge, meadows and streams.
The route starts in Niederau at the Tennladen practice lift, opposite Hotel Harfenwirt, and ends at the Bergbauernmuseum z'Bach in Oberau. The outdoor pool is then another 5-minute walk, handy for cooling off. Thanks to the forest it is a pleasant choice for warm summer days. The route is not suitable for pushchairs.
