Hiking in Hochfügen

Hiking and play above the Zillertal, with an adventure playground

Hochfügen lies above Fügen, on the western side of the Zillertal, and is best known as a ski area. In summer it is a starting point for hikes and mountain bike tours, for example the Four-Alm walk or the mountain tour to the Marchkopf (about 2,500 m). Part of the route to the summit is narrow and over rocky ground, so this is more for experienced hikers. The Zillertal Shuttle lift takes you higher into the area.

For families there is an adventure playground with a play pond, climbing elements, a tubing run and a bouldering wall, plus themed children's trails such as the Hubertus Wildtierpfad. Check beforehand which lifts run in summer and on which days.
