Choralpe near Westendorf

A quiet Brixental mountain walk with family trails

The Choralpe is the hiking area above Westendorf in the Brixental. In summer the two-section Alpenrosenbahn takes you up to the Talkaser at about 1,770 m, and you are on the mountain pastures straight away. Paths lead from there past mountain huts, including the Alpenrosenhütte, with views of the Kitzbühel Alps.

For families there is Alpinolino, an adventure world with themed trails, a marmot rally and a flight school with the eagle Bert. Children discover mountain nature through play. If you want more, you can walk longer loops, for instance towards the Fleidingalm. Plan a hut stop and check the weather and the lift's current operating times beforehand.
