Alpbach, Tyrol's flower village

Timber farmhouses, flowers and mountains in a side valley of the Inn

Alpbach lies in a side valley of the Inn valley, in the Alpbachtal, and is known for its unity of building style: timber houses with plenty of flowers on the balconies. The village is praised as one of the most beautiful in Austria.

You can spend half a day strolling past the church, farmhouses and terraces, for instance on the village route along the Heimatweg. At the end of summer the village is also known for the Europäisches Forum Alpbach, an international congress. The surrounding hills offer short walks and views over the valley, so the village combines well with a mountain trip or a walk across the meadows.
