Alpengolf lies in Achenkirch, on a plateau above the little Annakirchl chapel, bordering the Karwendel nature reserve. It is a nine-hole course run by the Posthotel, and sources give its par as 32. That makes it a more compact choice than the 18-hole courses nearby, suited to a short round in the morning or late afternoon.
Guests are welcome, but booking ahead is required and a club card showing a handicap is asked for. According to the sources, hotel guests get fixed tee times and a reduced green fee. The season runs from about May to October or November, depending on snow. Because the course sits higher and close to the mountains, the views are a large part of its appeal.
