Golf Valley lies near Holzkirchen, in the rolling country between Munich and Lake Tegernsee. The Canadian architect David Krause designed the 27 holes, which opened in 2009. The course consists of three loops of nine, so several combinations of eighteen are possible; the standard round is par 72.
Besides the main course there is a short nine-hole academy course for practice and learning. The club also has a practice centre of about 21 hectares with an indoor area, fitness and a fitting centre. That makes Golf Valley the most extensive complex in this overview. Sources differ on the length, depending on the tee, so ask for the scorecard before choosing. The drive from Niederau takes a little over an hour via the A8 towards Munich, which can be busy at weekends.
