At Piesenkam, a district of Waakirchen, you will find one of the younger courses around Lake Tegernsee. Its 18 holes opened in 2016. Unlike many courses in the Pre-Alps, the terrain is almost flat, which makes the round easy to walk even for less seasoned players.
It is a par 72: a little under 6,000 m from the yellow tees and about 5,200 m from the red ones. There is a driving range as well as putting, pitching and chipping greens and a practice bunker. The course is listed as public, but booking is required. Sources disagree on whether a proficiency certificate or a handicap is needed, so check before you travel. Two-seater electric carts can be hired. From Niederau it is about an hour and a half by car, so this is one of the more distant outings.
