Tegernseer Golf-Club Bad Wiessee

Hilly 18 holes above the Tegernsee

The Tegernseer Golf-Club sits on the Rohbognerhof estate in Bad Wiessee, high above the lake's eastern shore. The club started in 1958 with six holes and was extended to a full 18 in 1983. The ground is hilly with a few water hazards, and the course is regarded as sporty and fairly demanding.

It plays to par 70. From the white tees it measures a little over 5,500 m, and about 4,970 m from the ladies' tee. That is shorter than a typical championship course, but the elevation changes make the round harder than the yardage suggests. A driving range with 20 bays and practice greens are available for warming up. Visitors are welcome, but they need a club card with a registered handicap, so players without a handicap certificate cannot simply turn up for a round. From Niederau it is a long drive, so plan a full day.
