Schloss Maxlrain Golf Club

Castle park, 140 hectares and a short course for beginners

Schloß Maxlrain Golf Club near Tuntenhausen has an 18-hole course that opened in 1988, designed by Paul Krings. Most of it runs through the 19th-century castle park, within an estate of about 140 hectares. It measures 6,370 m from the white tees (par 72) and 6,090 m from the yellow.

The terrain is flat to gently hilly with water hazards and is described as demanding. Alongside the main course there is a public nine-hole short course aimed at beginners. Per one source it is charged by the day; ask about current terms. From Niederau it is one of the nearer large courses on the Bavarian side.
