Mangfalltal Golf Club

18 holes around a 19th-century farmstead

Mangfalltal Golf Club lies in the Mangfall valley south of Munich and west of Rosenheim. The 18-hole course (par 72) opened in 1987 and is a meadowland layout with gentle hills and water hazards. It measures 6,179 m from the white tees, 5,767 m from the yellow and 5,142 m from the red ladies' tees.

The clubhouse is in a farmhouse; according to the club the building dates from 1833 and has been converted. Reviewers describe a flatter front nine and a hillier, tougher back nine. From the terrace you can see the Wallberg, Brecherspitze and Hirschberg. The course lies closer to Munich than to Niederau and suits those wanting a day heading west.
