Cycling through the Brixental

A long valley route from Wörgl via Hopfgarten and Westendorf to Kitzbühel

The Brixental cycle path runs from Wörgl through the Brixental to Kitzbühel, roughly 40 to 47 km, past Hopfgarten, Westendorf, Brixen im Thale and Kirchberg. It is rated easy and mostly follows the valley floor; some stretches use quiet side roads that also carry cars and tractors. You can ride the whole stretch or choose a section.

Along the way are meadows, riverbanks and places to eat for a lunch stop; just before Kitzbühel lies the Schwarzsee. An e-bike makes the hillier parts easier, and you can return by bus or train. Pick up a map at the tourist office and check the current route beforehand.
