Routes from easy valley paths to mountain trails
The Wildschönau has a network of mountain bike routes, from flat valley tracks to steeper mountain trails; two stages of the Tiroler Bikeschaukel also run through the valley. There are easy options for families: the Oberau-Auffach loop (about 12.8 km, roughly an hour, easy) and the short Niederau-Foisching loop (about 4.3 km, around 45 minutes, suitable for beginners).
If you want more, try the valley-floor loop (about 30 km, easy) or the moderate Markbachjoch loop (about 14.4 km, around 2.5 hours). Bikes and e-bikes can be hired, for example at the iBIKE BOX in Oberau and at Sport Blachfelder. Wear a helmet and choose a route to suit the weakest rider.
