The Freizeitpark Ruhpolding lies in Bavaria's Chiemgau, between Munich and Salzburg, and is regarded as the oldest amusement park in Bavaria. It is a fairy-tale and adventure park with more than sixty attractions. The eye-catcher is the Gipfelstürmer mountain coaster. There is also the Drachenritt Siegfried dragon ride, a low ropes course, a slide paradise, a fairy-tale land and the boat slides Wasserwirbel and Wasserhüpfer. In the Kristallbergwerk children dig for gems like dwarfs.
So both younger and older children have plenty to do. In 2026 the park is open daily during the daytime from late March to early November, followed by winter opening hours. Given the travel time it makes a full day out; check current opening hours and prices beforehand.
