Penkenbahn, Mayrhofen
By cable car up the Penken, with play and sports facilities
The Penkenbahn is a modern three-rope cable car in Mayrhofen in the Zillertal. The top station is at about 1,790 m. Up top you find the FunSportStation Penken with a playground, a motor-skills course and activities such as E-Trial and the Bergroller.
Right next to the top station is the LärchwaldBachl water playground, with a water wheel, a spiral bucket and wooden barrels and gutters, among other things. On warm days it is a firm favourite with children. The FunSportStation is open in summer, roughly from late June to September. Allow plenty of time and check the weather and current information beforehand so the visit goes smoothly.

From Niederau, Mayrhofen is about 55 minutes by car, via Wörgl and the Zillertal road. You can also take the train from Jenbach. Check current fares and times beforehand.
