Gondola, Alpinolino adventure world and ball run above Westendorf
Westendorf in the Brixental valley is a good destination for a family outing with the Alpenrosenbahn I and II. These gondolas take you up to the Talkaser at around 1,770 m, from where the alpine pastures are right on your doorstep.
Up top you will find the ErlebnisWelt Alpinolino, a trail with small adventures and nature stations for children. There is also the Spoggolino, the longest ball run in Tyrol, which leads from the Choralpe back down to the Alpenrosenbahn station. From the Talkaser you can also hike across alpine meadows. The whole outing is calm and easy to follow, and suits children from nursery age. In summer the lifts run from late spring into autumn.

Practical
From Niederau it is about 35 minutes by car to Westendorf, via Wörgl and the Brixental. The valley station of the Alpenrosenbahn is in the village.
