Torchlight walk in the Wildschönau

Evening winter walk by torchlight in the Wildschönau

In winter the Wildschönau puts guided torchlight walks on its programme. One example follows the Franziskusweg: it starts at the z'Bach mountain farming museum and ends in the centre of Oberau. There is also a "mystical torchlight walk", which in one winter season left on Wednesday evenings from the entrance of the Drachental family park.

The Franziskusweg is a contemplative path of about 1.6 kilometres between Niederau and Oberau, with nine bronze figures, and it is lit at night. From Christmas until 2 February, illuminated nativity scenes by the local nativity society line the route. Dates, times and conditions differ per walk; ask Wildschönau Tourism.
