If you are looking for a hotel by the slopes in the Wildschönau, look at Niederau. Hotel Wastlhof stands in the middle of the village: a four-star hotel with wellness, run by the Brunner family for three generations. The hotel stands right by the slope: the drag lift is in front of the door of the house and the ski storage, so you simply step in. Winter: the drag lift at the door
The hotel stands right by the slope. The drag lift is in front of the door of the house and the ski storage: you put on your skis and simply step into the lift. According to the hotel’s information, the ski bus stop is about 50 m from the house, the toboggan run about 100 m, the Lahnerköpfl lift about 400 m and the Markbachjochbahn gondola to the Markbachjoch about 500 m. The nearest cross-country trail starts right at the house. With enough snow you can ski back to the hotel. Distances are approximate.

Summer: garden, tennis and walking paths
In summer the hotel has a relaxation garden with a generous outdoor pool, a sunbathing lawn and parasols. Guests play tennis free of charge at the Wildschönau tennis complex, and the walking paths start almost at the door. The hotel also has its own riding stables with about fifteen horses, including Haflingers; they have been there for more than fifty years.
After the ski day: pool and wellness
After a day outdoors you can head for the indoor pool (12 × 6 m, about 30 °C) or the outdoor pool, which is heated all year round. The hotel also has a wellness area. That is exactly the combination families like: the children in the water, the parents in the wellness.
