Monsterroller and MountainCart on the Spieljoch

Rolling down the mountain with a guide and helmet near Fügen

In summer you can ride down the Spieljoch above Fügen in the Zillertal on a Monsterroller or a MountainCart. A Monsterroller is a sturdy scooter with fat, air-filled tyres; a MountainCart is a seated cart with its own steering and brakes. You follow a guide, wearing a helmet, along the forest road from the top station to the middle station. The descent is about 6.5 kilometres long.

The ride is meant for adults and young people from 10 years of age, depending on body height. The number of vehicles is limited, so book in advance. On some tours you can carry on to the valley station. It is a fun addition to a hike or a day in the Zillertal when you travel with teenagers or an active group.
