Markbachjochalm: playground and goats

Close to the top station of the Markbachjochbahn lies the Markbachjochalm, a favourite outing for families. Next to the mountain hut you will find a playground with swings, slides and climbing frames, with views of the surrounding peaks.
There is also a small animal enclosure, where goats among others can be fed. The playground is open in summer only. You reach the alm by gondola from Niederau or on foot. A gentle walk from the top station to the hut suits small children well, and after playing you can have something to eat or drink on the terrace. This also makes the alm a pleasant, short-route goal for walkers.
